I’m happy to introduce Robbie Schmidtberger and his wife Jennifer. In two weeks Robbie will begin a year-long internship with Grace & Peace. I’ve known Robbie for 9 years, and I can confidently say that he has a Godly character and will be an incredible aide to our work at Grace and Peace.
Some people might be thinking, “Thats great, but how can a church as new as Grace & Peace have the resources to pay for an intern?” Well, that was a question that was troubling the elders as we talked with Robbie about the idea of an internship.
Amazingly, in the last month we were blessed with a generous gift from a group called the Gospel Growth Fund. With their gift, we will be able to cover the expenses of ministry for Robbie, as well as support him as he finishes his last year of seminary.
This is a very exciting movement for us as a church. Sometimes, being a part of a church plant can feel like a game of red-light, green-light. Having a great young couple join with us, and hit the ground running will be a definite step in the right direction. Robbie and Jennifer will start worshipping with us in the next week or so. If you see them, show them the same love that you show everyone else at Grace & Peace.
As Robbie and Jennifer prepare to join us we would invite you to join us in praying for the Schmidtbergers.
Here are some ways we will be praying for them:
- That their transition out of existing ministries at their old church would go well.
- That Robbie and Jen would be loved and cared for as long as they are a part of our church.
- That Sam and Robbie would develop a healthy and productive relationship that will benefit the whole church.
